Better Than Before
The motto of Dr. Beistline and his family has always been “better than before.” This reminds him to strive to have a positive influence on every person and place he encounters. He has brought this motto to Central Valley Dental Care, encouraging the team to strive to leave every person and place better than they found them.
Dr. David Beistline and Family
Dr. David Beistline is a fifth generation Alaskan, born and raised in Fairbanks. He headed down to the lower 48 to pursue his education and acquire a dental degree. He received his Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2010, before completing his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry at Western University of Health Sciences in 2015. After 10 long years away from the state he loves, he was finally able to return with his wife, Jolene, and three little ones.
Upon returning to Alaska, he had his eyes set on the beautiful Mat-Su Valley as the place to settle down and raise his growing family. Dr. Beistline’s vision of building his own premier dental practice came to fruition with the opening of Central Valley Dental Care in Wasilla in 2021.
When he is not in the office, Dr. Beistline enjoys experiencing all of the wonderful activities that Alaska has to offer. Whether it's fishing, hiking, four-wheeling, camping with his kids or attending their sporting events, spending time with his family outdoors is where you will find him.

Meet The Team
Rachel Allen
Registered Dental Hygienist
With over 19 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist, Rachel has a passion for educating and motivating patients with preventive practices. She especially feels accomplished when she makes people comfortable and happy to receive care. Rachel has deep Alaskan roots, moving here in 1990 with only a short stint back to the lower 48 in 2008. When not at the office she enjoys knitting, crocheting, reading, and spending time with her five children.
Cherie Cowin
Registered Dental Hygienist
With 30 years of experience as a dental hygienist in a variety of settings ranging from pediatrics to periodontics, Cherie has a passion for educating and motivating patients with preventive practices. She especially feels accomplished when she makes people comfortable and happy to receive care. Cherie was born and raised in Washington state and has lived in different parts of Alaska over the past 18 years. When not at the office, she enjoys playing her violin, teaching violin, camping, hiking and spending time with her three college age children and husband of 30 years.
Emily Meneghin
Registered Dental Hygienist
Emily has been helping patients feel comfortable and cared for in the dental chair since graduating from the University of Alaska Anchorage’s Dental Hygiene program in 2017. Before pursuing dental hygiene, she earned her degree in Biology from the University of Montana in 2011, reflecting her long-standing passion for science and health.
Having called Alaska home for the past 25 years, Emily feels deeply connected to the community she serves. She enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients while making dental visits as positive and stress-free as possible.
Outside of the office, Emily loves to travel and explore the outdoors. Whether she’s hiking Alaska’s trails or adventuring abroad, she’s always looking for her next adventure.

When you visit Central Valley Dental Care, you can always expect to be welcomed by the smiling faces of our amazing team in our fresh and comfortable dental office in Wasilla, Alaska. You can sit in our relaxing waiting room while you complete your new patient forms. Once you are finished you will be brought back to receive your thorough dental exam.
